Dr. Suporn Watanyusakul, FFS / SRS / MA
Dr Suporn Watanyusakul MD is an aesthetic plastic and reconstructive craniofacial surgeon specializing in the fields of SRS, FFS and Augmentation Mammaplasty (AM) operations, and whose Clinic is in Chonburi, Thailand. With almost 18 years' experience of sex reassignment surgery and related operations, Dr Suporn has carried out about 1800 cases of primary SRS on patients from some 40 countries. He currently carries out approximately 160 SRS operations, and 50 "full" FFS operations each year.
He has been practicing craniofacial, aesthetic plastic and reconstructive surgery since December 1991, and his clinical practice is presently in Chonburi, Thailand
In 2000 he developed and introduced a proprietary technique for SRS which does not use the more traditional penile inversion method. It is a one-stage technique which he has constantly developed and improved upon which gives consistently superior overall results over the more traditional methods. He has published a number of medical papers outlining his technique in learned medical journals and has presented to the Royal College of Surgeons in Thailand. The FFS techniques he uses are generally well established craniofacial methods, but in 2003 he started using an innovative and proprietary method for effectively reducing forehead brow bossing in medium severity cases.
While his clientele are primarily male to female transsexuals seeking total transitional surgery, he also regularly performs aesthetic facial, mammaplastic and vaginoplastic surgeries for natal women.
He is certified by the Medical Council of Thailand, and as of September 2009 he has performed some 1800 primary cases of SRS on patients of about 40 nationalities, the majority of whom now originate from the United States of America and Europe.
