PFLAG - Parents, Families, and Friends of Lesbians and Gays

Parents, Families & Friends of Lesbians & Gays (PFLAG) is a national non-profit organization with over 200,000 members and supporters and over 500 affiliates in the United States. This vast grassroots network is cultivated, resourced and serviced by the PFLAG national office, located in Washington, D.C., the national Board of Directors and 13 Regional Directors.

PFLAG TNET - PFLAG Transgender Network

In 2002, the PFLAG Transgender Network (TNET) became PFLAG's first "Special Affiliate," recognized with the same privileges and responsibilities as PFLAG chapters. Whereas chapters have a geographical focus, TNET is focused specifically on promoting the health and well-being of transgender persons, their families and friends, and provides resources to PFLAG chapters and to the National Office.

Gwendolyn Ann Smith - Transgender Day of Rememberance

Gwen is the founder and creator of the Remembering Our Dead Web project and the International Transgender Day of Remembrance. Gwen also writes a column called "Transmissions" for four major GLBT newspapers, Baltimore Gay Life, the Bay Area Reporter, Between The Lines, and the Philadelphia Gay News. Individual Transmissions pieces are also often printed in Express Gay News, the Houston Voice, the New York Blade, the Southern Voice, and the Washington Blade.
