Who is the Gender Identity Center of Colorado?
We provide support to those who are, or think they may be, transgender, and to the significant others (wives/husbands, boy/girlfriends, family members, etc.) of transgender individuals.
A variety of resources are available at the Gender Identity Center, including reading materials, free computer access, free wifi, beverages, snacks, low cost counseling services, hormone referral letters, resource referrals, support groups, open hours, social events, speaker’s bureau and volunteer opportunities for everyone.
Support group meetings each week include open meetings where anyone can attend to more focused groups such as transition group, F2M only groups, cross dressing, and genderqueer. For more on support groups, click here.
Open hours five days a week means we are here to serve you! Please feel free to drop in and just hang out, have a cup of coffee (or tea!), and see what we have going on (chats, crafts, cooking, sewing, etc.). We can help you explore your gender identity (and options), find resources, or just lend a sympathetic ear. We also educate the public on Gender Identity issues, so if you have a question please call or come by. Resources tab offers loads of information as well.
Confidentiality is highly respected. We have rules (Click here)! We ask everyone attending open hours and meetings at the Gender Identity Center to follow these out of respect.
Donations at support meetings are requested, however you are not required to contribute. (Click here for details)
