The Basics of Beauty

This workshop will cover the basics of “beauty”. The audience will learn the basics of
styling hair and how to enhance their hair to fit their look. They will see the difference between a wig out of the box and a wig that has been custom styled. 99% of all wigs need to be customized to the wearer.
Proper fitting, placement and care of wigs will also be covered.
In this workshop will also cover makeup application.
We will show how to select colors to suit your skin tone and proper application.
The importance of brow shaping and grooming will also be covered.
Anna Maestas graduated from the Aveda Institute in Denver in
2008. She worked at Hana Designs for five years working with the
wonderful transgender community and with the general public doing hair, make
up, waxing, and hair coloring. Anna has attended Gold Rush for three years;
last year teaching a make up class. Anna currently attends Metropolitan State
College of Denver, works for the Metro State Student Government Assembly
organizing events on campus for fellow students, and is working towards her
degree in holistic medicine and health awareness.
Wannapa Tribble graduated Xenon International Cosmetology school in Denver. Since 2008, she has worked at Hana Designs with the transgender community and with the general public styling hair, fitting wigs, make up application, waxing, skin care and
coloring hair.
Hana has been working with the transgender community since 1988. She has participated and presented in many workshops and support groups since that time. Our support has seen many friends as novices to post surgery and being able to succeed as leaders and friends for the genetic females in everyday lives.
