Shannon Garcia is a founding member and the President of TransYouth Family Advocates and business owner. She presents educational workshops at schools, medical/counseling offices and conferences nationwide on behalf of transgender and gender variant children and their families. Shannon, her 7 year old affirmed female daughter, 5 sons and husband were featured on CNN's Paula Zahn show. She regularly participates in radio programs and has done numerous magazine and newspaper interviews.
Kim Pearson is Executive Director of TransYouth Family Advocates, National Vice President of PFLAG-TNET and the President of Lake Havasu City PFLAG. Kim and her 15 year old affirmed male son (Youth Advocate, Shawn Pearson) have been featured on CNN's Newsroom. Kim does frequent radio interviews and recently authored a feature magazine article "Difference isn't wrong... it just is." Kim travels the US extensively , speaking on behalf of gender variant children at schools, medical and social work offices and GLBT organizations
